W tym roku 26 stycznia o godz. 7:25 czasu lokalnego, proporczyk w barwach PG załopotał w Tanzanii na Kilimandżaro, najwyższej górze Afryki 🏔Trafił tam w plecaku przewodniczącego naszego Stowarzyszenia, kol. Krzysztofa Dolnego, podczas trekkingu na szczyt Uhuru Peak. Trekking który prowadził drogą Machame, dłuższą od innych, ale zapewniającą dobrą aklimatyzację. 👣Trasa i zejścia do granic Parku Kilimanjaro to dystans 62 km. Średnia prędkość wędrówki wynosiła ca 1,44 km/godz. Łączna wysokość podejść to 6486 m, zaś zejść - 6500 m. Wysiłek zakończył się sukcesem, mimo trudnych warunków atmosferycznych proporczyk w barwach Politechniki Gdańskiej powiewał przez chwilę na na wysokości 5895 m n.p.m. co z satysfakcją prezentujemy na załączonym zdjęciu ❤ ___________ The Association of GUT Graduates is an organization which brings together people of diverse interests and passions – sometimes extreme ones 💪 🦅 This year, on the 26th of January at 7:25 local time, a banneret with the colours of the Gdańsk University of Technology flapped on top of Kilimanjaro – the highest mountain in Africa 🏔 It was brought there in the backpack of Krzysztof Dolny, leader of the Association, during the trek to the top of the Uhuru Peak. They climbed through the Machame route, which is one of the longer ones, but favourable in terms of acclimatisation. 👣 The distance of the route leading to the Kilimanjaro Park borderline was 62 kilometres. The average speed of the hike was 1.44 km/h. The cumulative ascent height – 6486 metres, descent – 6500 metres. Despite the harsh weather conditions, the GUT banneret was successfully placed at 5895 m a.s.l., which we proudly present in the photograph below ❤
